Chan partnered up with BreastCancer.org to design a line of limited edition bracelets benefitting breast cancer support. The Think Pink, Live Green campaign is dedicated to raising awareness on how environmental factors impact breast cancer and what women can do to reduce their risk. Chan is donating 50% of all sales to BreastCancer.org, the world’s #1 online resource for breast cancer awareness.
The bracelets come in three different styles, and are made with Indian Aventurine stones.
Elle Magazine featured Chan Luu’s collaboration with BreastCancer.org for their October 2011 Issue!

The New York Showroom is located a block from Bryant Park. I love taking a break to see what is going on in the park. It does not matter what time of year it is, the park is always buzzing with New Yorkers and tourists alike.
Have a great week!
Leopard print seems to be a reoccurring theme for fall attire… whether it’s just an accented accessory item, or a full dress, leopard print seems to always find its way back into fall themes…

With summer at an end, and September in our presence, I decided it was time to bring out my leather jacket from hibernation. The air is getting a bit colder, so get ready to dust off those edgy jackets and start incorporating them into your wardrobe again! I paired my leather jacket with a maxi dress from our Spring 2012 line that also has leather fringe on it.

Last night thanks to a friend, I was able to attend the last show of New York’s Mercedes-Benz Fashion week at the Lincoln Center. This show was particularly special because it was the first time ever that live music was played simultaneously as the models walked the runway.
Lykke Li preformed, she was awesome!!
If you have never listened to Lykke Li you should! Her music is so incredibly beautiful yet powerful and inspiring.
Click her to listen to one of my favorite songs. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vZYbEL06lEU
PS- The top and skirt I am wearing are from our Spring 2012 line! Can’t wait!!
Have a great weekend.
We just recently came back from showing the collection in Paris. I must say it is always such an amazing experience to be able to go to the city and work there for a week! You can just feel the essence of history and fashion that bleeds throughout the magnificent city.
Here a few photos from our trip…
I absolutely adore going to the Musee de l’Orangerie and viewing the massive Monet’s they have on display…
Our Fall ’11 RTW shows a soft and romantic side reminiscent of the Victorian era of fashion. With ruffles, lace, and lots of tiers, these pieces will have you caught up in your own fashion love affair.
Last night was Fashions Night Out and Jennie, Annika and I were able to take part by showcasing an array of Chan Luu pieces at Ron Herman in Los Angeles. It was a successful night and we had a lot of fun being able to participate in such a global event!
Ni Hao My name is Danielle and I am the Design Assistant for Accessories at Chan Luu. A part of my job is to work with Chan on the product development of cashmere scarves. Needless to say, Chan designs amazingly luxurious cashmere scarves but recently I had the opportunity I find out just how special they REALLY are. Here is a sneak peak at some of the pictures from Chan and I’s trip to China where we saw first-hand how much time and work is put into each piece!
We can thank these furry friends for sharing their luxrious coats
Cashmere goats can only be combed once a year for aproximately seven years of their lives. You need to comb 5 goats to make just ONE luxurious CHAN LUU scarf!
China is adorned with fields of sunflowers and amazing mountainous landscapes. Recently, laws were enforced to protect these landscapes by restricting where cashmere goats can feed. Cashmere goats eat the roots of the pasture and cause desertification .
It was incredible to see the machinery and all the work needed to produce our scarves. Imagine a factory big enough to spin the yarn, thread gigantic looms, weave thousands and thousands of scarves, dye those thousands of scarves, then print them, and fringe them, then steam and soften them and then double check that it is the perfect grade of quality for Chan Luu!
