September is one of our busiest months. We are gearing up for India to design the Fall 2012 RTW line while working on Spring 2012 Jewelry.

AU REVOIR! OFF TO PARIS FOR PREMIER CLASSE/WHO’S NEXT.
Every season prints come and go, but animal print is one print that is here to stay. I love animal print in both big and small ways.
It is a great way to add a little life to a simple outfit.
The Chan Luu leopard scarf I am wearing here is on our site!

At the launch of our Spring 2012 ready to wear collection during Project show in Vegas this week, our booth was the busiest show yet. From the glitz of the holiday jewelry collection to the effortless softness of the clothing, the Chan Luu team was just as excited as the stores who came to write the line.
I seem to be living in the tie-dye silk maxi skirts. Both colors…
Sheer layers and sequins are in full effect.
Chan Luu style was contagious! Here’s Victoria getting interviewed by the stylish Lily Kaufman from Planet Blue.
Shannon and I got away with Bree for a night!
So busy in the booth the next day…
Tessa’s layered sequin skirt and tassel theme bracelets were on every order.
So much fun with the Chan Luu girls!

Our model Taylor is wearing a maxi sequin skirt and sequin Ikat cropped top from our Fall 2011 collection.
Sequins don’t always have to look so dressy. For a more casual look, I wore the sequin maxi skirt with a t-shirt and leather jacket.

Last week after work I went over to Jillian’s apartment in Brooklyn. With this being only my third trip to Brooklyn, I soon discovered I was in for a real treat. From Jillian’s rooftop we saw one of the most amazing sunsets I have seen in New York.
Jillian, Renee, and I enjoying a perfect New York summer night.
Have a great weekend!
I absolutely love my Rosary necklace, which is actually a part of our men’s collection layered with a long silver nugget necklace:
Look for our Crochet Skirt, available next week at Project Las Vegas!
As our Fall 2011 line is staring to ship to stores, I can’t help but notice a trend. Polka dots! From scarves to ready to wear, it is clear to see Chan has followed along a dotted road to perfectly spotted prints. Whether dainty or statement-making, we are seeing these dots on everything from lurex to cashmere to silk. We are seeing this print everywhere in fashion for Fall, so get ready!
The polka dot originally became popular in the mid 1800s with the craze of the polka dance, as the lively pattern evoked the lightness of the dance. As the pattern evolved, it once again took a giant leap in the 1940s and 50s with Frank Sinatra’s first breakout hit, “Polka Dots and Moonbeams,” and then continued on, of course, with Brian Hyland’s “Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini.” How can you not love that song!? I, for one, am happy as can be that this trend is making its way back into modern culture. Here are some of my favorite dotted delights from Chan’s Fall 2011 collection…
Here I’m wearing a Chan Luu light-as-can-be blouse with a Jane Tran feather-dotted hairpiece.
These dreamy scarves are available here: http://www.chanluu.com/category-s/471.htm
I love these playful spotted Jane Tran headbands!
From past to present, polka dots never fall out of style. Mixing and matching stripes with dots and florals is always a fun way to liven it up. As Summer comes to a close and Fall is on the horizon, happy shopping!

In a few weeks I will be moving from the Upper East Side down to the East Village. I have lived uptown for the past two years and have grown to love the neighborhood. One of the things I will miss the most is being so close Central Park.
Central Park is really beautiful right now; it is in full bloom with vibrant lush colors everywhere you look. Below are some of my favorite places to go when I am in the park.
Bye for now…
